M27, Dumbbell Nebula (NGC6853)
A nebula of ionised gas expanding around a dying star. It has a bipolar shape, with greater density at the ends and more diffuse gas around it. It is composed mainly of hydrogen, which glows red, and doubly ionised oxygen, which emits green and blue light.
